Kodachrome  -  Paul Simon

Imagine, if kids hear this song today they likely have no idea what he's singing about!

Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard: Paul Simon (We was all on the cover of Newsweek). This is almost certainly a repeat, but I don't have it in me to scroll back 19 pages worth of posts.

Welcome to the Machine - Pink Floyd

It's about the greed of the music industry, producers, and managers and their methods to exert control over the band.  Other rock bands had similar complaints, not just Pink Floyd. But in this case, the band believed it was the contributing cause that led to Syd Barrett's mental breakdown.

Sad songs-Elton John

Guess there are times when we all need to share a little pain
And ironing out the rough spots
Is the hardest part when memories remain
And it's times like these when we all need to hear the radio
'Cause from the lips of some old singer
We can share the troubles we already know
