LAST LINES

We’ve done First Notes and Opening Lines so

it’s time to do Last Lines. What are your most

memorable last lines of your fav songs? If

you’re so inclined, tell us why also 🎼💜

And in the end, the love you take

Is equal to the love you make”

The End, Fab 4️⃣

The final lines from this song from the incredible Abbey Road Medley have always resonated

to me in the deepest way. To me they represent

equality, purity, love and religion all wrapped up in one. This stands as one of the best last lines ever, imo 🎼💜

Taxman-Beatles

Now my advice for those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I'm the taxman
And you're working for no one but me

Your candle burned out long before

your legend ever did

Candle In The Wind - Elton John

Though written for Marilyn Monroe, and adapted later for Diana, these lyrics could represent many whom we lost in their prime.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” - Jimi Hendrix

Taxi-Harry Chapin

And here, she's acting happy
Inside her handsome home
And me, I'm flying in my taxi
Taking tips and getting stoned

I go flying so high, when I'm stoned

”You could be my Silver Springs

blue green colors flashing”

Silver Springs, The Mac, Live

We all have a “Silver Springs”, you know

the one you let get away or walked away

from you. I’ve had a few 😥When they did

this song in Concert, I cried. That’s what

it means to me 🎼💜

" 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain "  (Last line except for the La La La's) 😊

A Horse With No Name - America

Always loved the song. To me it is getting away from it all and soaking in nature. Getting away from people and the world that can hurt you.

The following verse book-ends the song Our House by CSN&Y:

I'll light the fire
You place the flowers in the vase
That you bought today

The tone of the delivery is what sets the opening and closing apart.  The Opening sounds like two people getting home after running errands.  The Closing conjures the image of a couple contentedly dozing off together on the couch for a late morning nap on a peaceful weekend.

---"Wednesday November 6: The Snail Song" by The Pineapple Thief

This beautiful song reminds us that we are responsible for our own actions on this planet, and that all life has value. It tells the story of how the narrator stepped on a snail as he walked about, but regarded it as a small occurrence.
