IMAGES THAT REPRESENT SONGS
Thought it would be fun to find photos or illustrations that depict songs. Either depicting the title or what the song is about or means to you. Fun or Serious.
I used Pixabay. The photos I use are free for use and require no attribution. Please respect terms for images that you choose.

Do You Hear What I Hear Harry Simeone Chorale and many many more!
I have enjoyed hearing this song being performed at many Elementary School holiday concerts. While an image of a little lamb always comes to mind, I also sometimes recall that this was written during the Cuban Missile Crisis. While at that time I was too young to understand why the grown-ups were watching the TV News more often and sometimes whispering to each other, I now find some comfort in the realization that this song was written as a plea for peace.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas Bing Crosby
This song was originally released during World War II, and is sung from the point of view of a soldier stationed overseas.
It is this photo of Vietnam 1960, that comes closest to the image that I see in my mind’s eye whenever I hear, “if only in my dreams”.
Thank you Veterans for your service.

Silver Bells. Bing Crosby and lots of other Crooners
….every time that I hear this song, I am instantly transported back to magical childhood visits to the city during Christmas time - the lighted tree that reached the sky, the window displays, and the Salvation Army band….

I Hope You Dance Lee Ann Womack
…..the lyrics are so fitting during this week of giving thanks. In the midst of the pandemic, when the world became a much smaller place and seemed pretty bleak, my friend and I vowed to greet every day with a gratitude list. …..and we’ve never stopped doing so!

Daydream Believer The Monkees
…..when I posted this title about ten minutes ago, I smiled when I realized that the image in my mind’s eye wasn’t teenaged me gazing out a classroom window, but 60-something me sipping coffee and still believing….
So here’s to all of us senior daydream believers!
