Good Morning Music Lovers.

Hope everyone is up and about maybe enjoying that first cup of coffee!

The thing I like about 60's and 70's music is that it was fun.

Take, for instance, my song of the day.

SWEET CITY WOMAN by the Stampeders

The Stampeders were a Canadian Pop-Rock Group from the early 70's'

This song was their only hit.

It was released in September 1971 and reached #8 on the Billboard charts.

Now, think, how many pop-rock songs start out with a strumming banjo and mention macaroon cookies in the lyrics? Fun, right?

Music tip of the day - check out the You Tube site, cozyhollow. great songs, nice videos.

Here all day.

Do you believe in magic, Lovin’ Spoonful

Their debut single from 1965. Written by

musical genius John Sebastian. From that

opening riff, I was taken in. Crank this song

up everytime. Have loved this song as long as

I’ve been breathing air. “And it’s magic, if the

music is groovy” The lyrics are superb…..🎶💜

Hi @JoeJ415665 Feel free to chat whenever you want, that’s something these boards have been lacking for a while!  Yes, there may be crickets in some threads, but don’t let that discourage you.  People do read them.

There are, as Nicole previously said, (I’m editing here  for clarity at 10:25 am EST… since I now see she deleted her post and mine is just hanging here),…. several game threads in the Rock N Roll section regarding song titles that are always active.  I jumped into those once I got the hang of them.  Basically you play them by replying with your post to the original top post that also has the basic how-to of the game threads regarding songs in it.

Definitely feel free to chat in any topic, though.  Lots of people read, lurk, and may not talk much until a topic of interest hits them.  The Contest threads are ones in which everyone come out of the woodwork, like the one that’s up now on Savings.  Lots of great stuff in there and those are my favorite to read and participate in, whether people read my comments or not I enjoy and have fun.

Have fun, explore the different threads.  Lots of old threads have conversations on them.  I think sometimes people just need to jump in to what interests them.
