GREAT COVERS OF YOUR FAVORITE SONGS
For many an original song that they love cannot and will not ever be duplicated by a cover, but there are many songs that have been done equally (debatebly) well by others..
So do you have favorites?
What are your favorite covers of favorite songs?

"Piece of My Heart" * Janis Joplin & Big Brother & the Holding Company.
their version of 67' Erma Franklin {sis of Aretha} a year later, was more R&R & hit #1.But Erma's original wasn't too shabby.

As Long As I Have You - Roger Daltrey (Garnett Mimms cover)
Roger kills it with his raw and raunchy blues vocals.
Original: https://youtu.be/Hc2y9X08tN8
Garnett Mimms, Classic 60’s uptempo R&B
Both are great!

Over The Hills And Far Away - Nightwish, Gary Moore cover
NW does a great job on this classic rock masterpiece, love how they picked up the Celtic vibe in their cover.
Now here’s the original … RIP Gary

Ok, this isn't a great cover, however, I couldn't resist the pairing of the two singers.
"Spinning Wheel" - original by Blood Sweat & Tears
Most unlikely pairing :
Gene Simmons and Englebert Humperdink - singing cover of "Spinning Wheel"

Another good cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is by Toto, Steve Lukather on vocals and guitar. Great job! Love that solo.

Shouldn't mess around and do Beatles songs, although some covers are good. Sorry @BeatleloverKT , but I really think this version is very good.

Done at the Cavern Cub. I don't think George or john, or Paul,
or Ringo wouild have objected. It's a different take on it. Real musicians
play songs their way, they don't just replicate the originals.
This is a superior guitarist, Vive la differance.!!!!
