For many an original song that they love cannot and will not ever be duplicated by a cover, but there are many songs that have been done equally (debatebly) well by others..

Wow! Thanks for posting this, it was awesome, so joyous. Listened to it once, then called my husband in to listen to it again. We found ourselves wondering how Mozart or Beethoven  would react to it 😉

This is fabulous and I have to agree with you on the Cash cover!  One of the comments on the video was

Love, love, love this cover, he injects anger into this cover which is not as apparent in the original.

has special resonance for me today.

It's easy to see that E was having a lot of fun with that. He never took himself too seriously. He covered a lot of songs in a lot of genres, and many were hits. Blue Suede Shoes would have to be near the top of the list, I think.
