FAVORITE MALE SINGERS OF ANY GENRE
Well, we can't leave the guys out can
we? Who are your favorite male singers of any
genre? I'm not talking bands here but solo artists. Of
course, if they were in a band and also went solo you can still name
them such as Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora both of whom are members
of the group Bon Jovi but have also gone solo. Here's some of
mine from times past to the present:
Frank Sinatra,
Perry Como, Dean Martin, Brook Benton, Jerry Butler, Conway Twitty,
Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, Johnny Tillotson, Donovan,
Eddie Cochran, Gene McDaniels, Glen Yarborough, Neil Young, Bob
Dylan, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, and so many more.
You may also name
your favorite male singer from a band but not the band itself.
For instance, we all know that Diane loves the band Aerosmith
but she would say Steven Tyler.

Here's another vote for John Denver. His vocals give me the shivers, whether he's singing a soft and meditative song , a comedy or a power ballad.

One of my favorite vocalists to come out of the 80's was a progressive country artist -
Gary Morris
He can and has sang pretty much everything, from prog country rock and pop, to country and gospel, and on to the Broadway stage. He was the first American to perform the part of Jean Valjean in the Broadway production of Les Miserables, and later sang the part of Rodolfo to Linda Ronstadt's Mimi in a theater version of the Puccini opera, La Boheme.

Ditto on your WHOLE list @MaVolta !!
One more . . . Can't believe that I forgot this one . . .
Paul Simon
I'm going to back-track and include Art Garfunkel along with him since they would alternate leads on different songs during the S&G years.
