Also FYI regarding Sir Paul’s musical career:

1. He is the most successful rock
composer
of all time.

2. Has scored 21 US #1 and 17 UK #1 singles.

3. Has scored over 30 US&UK solo top

40 hit singles.

4. Has written and co-written 188 charted

records, 91 of which reached the top 10

and 33 made it to #1 totaling 1,662 weeks

on the chart. Amazing!!

@BobH07   -  I watched the Laurel Canyon documentary, and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for mentioning it. I loved the music from that era. They were fabulous songwriters and musicians who really cared for their craft. You don't see that anymore.

In a similar vein:  Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice

It is a documentary by CNN Films, and is currently available for rent on Prime Video and YouTube TV.  At some point, Amazon will probably move it to the Prime free list. I saw it on CNN when it was released, and it is an excellent presentation of her entire career.

I watched on ESPN last night The Eagles

in concert Live at the Forum from 2018.
In the new line up
now is Vince Gill and

Glenn Freys son Deacon, who looks and

sounds a lot like his Dad. They did a nice

tribute to Glenn and performed all

their hits. It was an excellent show

and it’s on YouTube also.

Sad news today:  Benjamin Keough, son of Lisa Marie Presley and musician, Danny Keough, has died at the age of 27. He was the grandson of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. No details have been made public. As one might imagine, the family is devastated.  RIP.

Hey, just wondering if anybody else is having problems with the Song Title Word Association game, or is it just me? When I go to it, the last response I can see says July 10, 2020 at 11:12 PM, but now all the Reply buttons are grayed out, so you can't add anything. Or at least I can't. Did we break it somehow? 😳

I watched the show, also, and was very disappointed. It wasn't what I had expected and was not at all like the other virtual concerts that have been aired recently. There wasn't even a birthday greeting from Sir Paul. The video shown had been aired on YT after the concert last year. It was great seeing them together, but nothing new.

It looked like it was all thrown together at the last minute. Some of the videos were poor quality and the spliced together ones were awful.

I don't mind that the musicians are having these "concerts" as fundraisers. A few weeks ago, Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, with support from Willie Nelson, hosted A Night for Austin virtual concert that raised $600,000 in support of our local musicians, artists, and food bank. The videos were all good quality, and a lot of the musicians were old timers from 70's Austin. It was a real throw back experience. To the extent that I can, I don't mind supporting our local arts community.
