But hidden expenses can turn a dream move into a nightmare. โPeople forget that costs like insurance, utilities and taxes vary widely and may offset savingsโ from cheaper housing or consumer goods, says Tyler Abney, a managing partner at Tidemark Financial Partners in San Diego. Those ongoing costs can strain your savings.

I just scanned over the article, to me what should have been #1 is the COST of the move. It would take us a year to pack and no way under the sun could we pick this stuff up and load in a truck. I have no clue how to recoup that expense.
