Why can't use points to redeem lowes gift card? I don't want to enter sweepstakes.

Why can't use points to redeem lowes gift card? I don't want to enter sweepstakes.

It seems can't redeem points for majority of gift cards (i.e. Lowes). Have to enter sweepstakes or purchase Lowes gift card with own money and not use the points to redeem?? I don't like this. Not much to redeem with just points only. This is really not a benefit to members after all.
