Redeemed 17,000 points for a $5 Ulta and never received it.

I redeemed 17,000 points for a $5 Ulta card which is way too many points for a $5 card, but I can use it and it is almost the end of the month.  Well-------- Surprise!  Suprise!  I have not received it.

 

I called the rewards number and talked to someone there.  She said she could not see that I had an Ulta card being sent.  Apparently they have a record of the cards they have tried to send you.  She then looked at my redemption history and saw the 17,000 reduction for an Ulta Card.  

 

The bigger surprise is that according to their records they haven't sent me any gift cards since November.  You know that's when the maintenance for 3 days was done before the last terrible 3 day maintenance.  This site it so messed up.  The thing is I have redeemed and received gift cards since then, including one on January 14 shortly before this last fiasco of a maintenance was done.

 

She has to send it to another department to have them look into it.  Before they were supposed to get back to you in 3 to 5 business days.  But apparently since they have fouled up so many things the time frame is now 7 to 10 business days.  I am not holding my breath.  When it was 3 to 5 it was lucky to get done in 3 weeks.  I don't expect any resolution to the current problem.

I received my Ulta $5 a little while ago.  It was just the normal email you receive when you redeem.  It is just 3 days late.  I haven't heard anything from the escalation that was being done.
