Home Depot Gift Card Issue

Good Afternoon @AARPTeri ,

I submitted 16,000 points for a $5 Home Depot gift card at around 9:30 am on 8/13/25. I never received email with the gift card from AARP. 

Contacted Customer Service at around 3:35 pm and was told there's a processing issue with the card, also confirmed redemption.  Received apologies for the problem, but won't return my points

Please assist with expedition of the email for Home Depot gift card.

This is the reply I got this morning from my chat session with Justin,  

"We're currently experiencing a delay in sending your gift card. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue, and you can expect to receive your card within two business days. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

I also didn't receive my home depot gift card via email. It has now been 48 hours since i redeemed the 16000 pts for the gift card one of my 3 allowed for the month. please contact me as to when i may expect it or am i to assume from the response of the terms and conditions that i may be out the 16,000 points , the gift card and have wasted one of my three entries for the month for nothing. thank you for your response James

@AARPConsumerCare   This same response was given to someone who raised the same issue on another thread.  This one is raised in the right forum but the problem is the same.  Multiple ones of us gave up the 16K points and got nothing after 24 hours.  Something is wrong.  Please check into it instead of giving a canned response.   mi knows what she is talking about and we both waited 24 hours before complaining.   Takes me a lot of time these days to get 16K points and with only three miserly $5 redemptions, they should at least come when we cough up the points.

Lol, now don't spend this HUGE $5 in one place!!! 😂🤣  I wonder IF Home Depot "allows" more than ONE GIFTCARD on "each" purchase? I know Staples says they do. I have ONE of theirs for $5. Hoping to get MORE to "test" HOW MANY can be used on ONE purchase. Anyone done this before = used SEVERAL $5 giftcards on ONE PURCHASE? Hey, maybe I can get an item for FREE!!!  🙃  Anyway, you guys ENJOY your Home Deport giftcard & weekend. Nicole!

I have used multiple gift cards in store or restaurant (Lowe's, Kohl's, Carrabba's, Olive Garden).  I think the limit on multiple gift cards is with some online sites.
