imho ANY and ALL gift cards should be MEMBERS ONLY! I've been AARP for over 19+ years and because the AMZ gift cards are available to all, I miss out every other month. These should be available to members only, imho; why should anyone who doesn't provide funding to this organization be rewarded with cash (gift cards)?

By AMZ do you mean Amazon? Those are members only. The Dunkin GC was members only and sold out in less than 15 minutes. What they really need to do is offer MORE of GCs (even the members only ones), so they don't sell out so fast.

No, they were not; anyone could "purchase" AMZ after completing monthly EC. And agree, they need to have enough to fulfill members' fulfillment.
So, probably it's down to this: AARP hits are as important as they are for other sites (e.g. truthsocial) rather than actual member support. So true PAYING members are on our own as far as trying to obtain these perks.
And, btw, there is another site searching for we retirees; global, in fact...

@WebWiseWoman Definitely, a BIG ole
for me. Sadly though I have come to the conclusion that our dear administrator and the fat cats upstairs at AARP corporate will continue to ignore all our suggestions.

I was willing to use my points for this since there has been nothing else available, and this is one of the few times I was actually on the rewards site when it showed up. But I couldn't even do that because I got the message saying I had already redeemed it (NOT!). Of course by the time I contacted customer service about this, the GC was already sold out (less than 15 minutes!). Not that they could have done anything anyway. But it once again shows how worthless this rewards program is. This problem (people getting the message saying they already redeemed a GC when they hadn't) showed up on the discussion board over 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't been fixed.
I had the same happen to me (message saying I had already redeemed). I assumed it would be fixed and I could redeem the gift card. I tried again a few times and got the same message every time. I then saw there are a few left later in the day. Still the same message until the next try again later and they were sold out.

The Dunkin GC came up yesterday afternoon (I don't remember the exact time). The extra credit GCs at the beginning of the month always show up at 12am EST on the first day of the month. From what I've seen in other discussion threads, it seems like most of the GCs (or physical items like tote bags) which are offered for points-only during the month will show up in the early morning hours, but there are some (like this Dunkin GC) that show up in the afternoon or evening. There is no notification (like there is with the Daily Deals) of when new points-only items will show up, so if you aren't on the web site when this happens then you're out of luck, because the popular ones seem to sell out in minutes. The less popular ones will be available for awhile.
