I got my points back, had to look in the transaction history under adjustments to see it.  No other correspondence from AARP about this problem, it would have been nice to know with an explanation email from them.  They have our email address to sent us the wrong card, why not tell us what was being done about it.

As to your question "...why not tell us...", imo it's because integrity has left the room... we see it every day now; sad.

did they give back the wasted redemption? With only 3 per month it would be a waste of 1/3 of monthly reward redemption.

They didn't give it back.

I just checked and I did get an adjustment.  Does this mean that we can keep the TJ Maxx card or is it now invalid?  Wish someone would have emailed everyone to what is going on with this error.

Try calling the number for gift card balance and see.  They probably deactivated the card id think. But you got back the points it seems, no Panera given to you I take it?

Great suggestion. I just checked the TJ Maxx website for gift card balance and it shows $5.00 available.

Then happy holidays to you!  In a heartbeat.  Their mistake your compensation.

That would be justified as well

Welp - clicked on the Panera & redeemed - but they sent me a TJMax instead LoL!!! AND the email has the Panera Logo on the gc description, but the text has TJMAX! LOL - think somebody goofed a copy/paste or something. Bummer - really really wanted the Panera!

  @Barbisme
Letting you know I see a Panera back again.  Hopefully good.

Conversationalist

Thanks, tried to get it but couldn't because of the prior flub for the TJ Maxx card I didn't want.

Social Butterfly

Because it counted against your 3 per month?

Same here, wish it could be exchanged for the Panera Bread, or get points back.

Oh wow! That would make me mad.

Edit to add:  Did it show up correctly in the redemption transaction dashboard?

Me too, shows up as TJ Max in transaction history - also bummed that it counts for my 2nd of 3 monthly redemptions!

I would hope that would get rectified ASAP as some folks using these as gifts.
