AARP Needs To Perform Some Serious Maintenance On This Site
Recently I’ve been trying to redeem or play instant win and I was receiving this error message
“Oops! An error occurred. Please refresh your browser to get back on track”. “Sorry, we are having trouble accessing your account. Click to login and refresh”
Although I could earn points but I am unable to use them. A few days ago, a member of my family called the help line to report an error that occurred during the registration and joining process. Shut it down and carry out well organized maintenance.

both of you are correct. But if 2024 members are blocked or data was deleted then we should not be able to earn points. Seems it’s only the Instant Wins that are affected. I had a chat sessions with Amanda 3 day ago on 4/8/25 & that canned response about escalating to IT team is just another stall tactic they continue to use as they have no idea how to fix this program.

Mark @MarkD524822 , or they know how to fix it but NOT willing to invest the time to do so.

In this case, I think the most likely possibility is that the IT Team has BLOCKED ALL ACCOUNTS CREATE 2024, Cannot Redeem Rewards but can still earn points.. I think Almost all accounts created in 2024 will not redeem rewards.. I think we should wait a while and check again.

@McleanM634049 , why would AARP block accounts created LAST year 2024? 🤔 Take care, Nicole 👵

Waiting is all we can do, but that only increases the frustration.
Nicole says they don’t won’t to invest the time in fixing the problem, which is very true, but there is no incentive for them to do that. Chaos is their friend.
SO SAD 😭

I think you're right, Mclean, as I signed my daughter up on my account on her 50th birthday last year and she has advised me she can no longer redeem for gift cards and has given up, although she has been able to before. Thanks for posting this; it almost reeks of age discrimination.
