WHAT ARE YOUR PREFERENCES FOR THIS PRODUCT?
Hawked by bears, a music group called the Quilted Queens, an middle aged grocery Manager, all funny in their own right.
Described as cushiony, eco-friendly, leaves you "clean as a whistle" and a multitude of other descriptions.
Constructed out of bamboo, recycled material, and "who knows what" in other countries.
Named after a brass instrument or a fabric material or a religious icon.
Brings us to an all important question.................
WHAT IS YOUR PREFERENCE IN TOILET PAPER?

Cottonelle, delivered by Amazon on subscribe and save 😊
With "Active CleaningRipples" 😄
Until the grands dump half a roll+ into the toilet. Then I long for the older, thinner stuff.

@DaveMcK, I don't particularly like COSTCO'S TP but I do buy Bounty Paper Towel there when they run a sale. What I save on paper towel alone versus the grocery store over the year literally pays for my membership fee. Of course, as most people do, I spend money on "impulse buys" almost every time I go.

Stuck with Cottenelle for decades (actually just Googled and since first daughter born 1972).
Tried Charmin for a few months but daughters and I agreed the "lint" from the rolls on the floor was far too much.
Recently tried Walmart brand but it was one layer (should have read the description) and that was total loss; don't think double layer would be better as it's not "quilted".
In the end, we stick with Angel Soft.

Denese @WebWiseWoman , I NEVER tried it, but Walmart has 2-ply. And the CHOICES are getting more COMPLICATED in my old opinion. Had to ask someone years ago what a CERTAIN TYPE was. Told me for RVs. Well I never had a RV, but learn't from that day to be careful. Lol, gone are the days you grab and go. But it is a good thing people have choices. HAPPY Saturday my friend. Nicole

Talk about more complicated, now there’s toilet paper that tears NOT STRAIGHT ACROSS but in a WAVY PATTERN. Yet another choice…….

Geez @nctarheel , I have enough of a hard time "tearing" off the sheets with the usual "straight" lines!!! WHY wavy??? Lol, now I guess Walmart will be EITHER expanding their Toilet Paper Aisle or eliminating something to make space for WAVY. This is the 1st time I am hearing about this. NC, bet the "kids" luv wavy. According to the ad, straight across tearing is never straight across but the wavy tearing follows the wavy pattern of each paper panel on the roll. Frankly, I don’t care if a paper panel shreds not along the straight line, myself. I guess they are CREATING a “need” for their customer base.

@nctarheel CORRECTED. Makes sense NC !!! I will BUY this IF it is the SAME "price" as the Walmart 1-ply JUMBO roll pack I get once a month. My issue with some companies (NOT just the Toilet Paper ones) is they "seem" to FORGET some of us are NOW on a "limited" BUDGET in Retirement. I say SOME as not ALL Retirees are. Anyway, it is what it is my friend. Nicole

I have bought the same brand for years...Cottonelle... and it wasn't all that long ago, @SpringIsHereVA, that it was $3.99 a six pack.
Now, it is $9.99 a six pack.
Yes, they have certainly forgotten our limited budgets.

Papaw @papawofboo , the ON SALE [otherwise too expensive] with Kroger is why I NO longer shop there unless the other old lady [2006 Hyundai Elantra] has to spend the NIGHT at her other home [mechanic]. After dropping off car, I take City Bus [senior bus fare 84 cents a ride, bus stop in front of mechanic] to Kroger. Shop, then my daughter in Florida ubers me up my hill as bus does NOT go past Kroger. Other than that, Walmart.

When I saw your post @nctarheel , I tried to find an OLD Walmart TP receipt but I had "switched" to Food Lion briefly. Walmart's GV1000 12 count NOW as of this month $9.18. Food Lion was $8.69 for their Store Brand the last I shopped there. Also 12 count.
As far as Costco, I DONOT have the space (Studio Apt) to store bulk = ONLY reason I would join.
HATE shopping too & NOT into going to several stores to save money. Between the traffic, gas prices & a.sholes also shopping - best I stick to one store. Safer for everyone & keeps me out of jail or being banned from shopping. SO GLAD I am now retired = Mondays when folks are at work or inside on their remote jobs. Lol, just the "rude" Walmart Employees to deal with. I do Self Checkout. Get to bag my groceries my way & only a "pain in my b.tt" annoying machine to deal with. The self-checkout employees so far at my location are okay.

The QQ hasn't made it to my market area yet. I thought the bears and groc. mgr. (Mr. Winkle) were both about Charman.
We use several brands including private label. Just depends on which one is on sale. I think Kroger has 3 different named private labels, the middle one is as low as I go, it works (most important) and the price is alright, plus they run the package size I like on sale regularly.
Tarheel, you fooled me this time. When I started reading, I was thinking how is this going to get to DC.

Lol Papaw @papawofboo , I had thought NC's post was ONLY about the BEARS (Charmin) but he was referring to ALL brands. IF Walmart is out, I "cry" & get SCOTT 1-ply. Good hearing from you old man. Nicole

@nctarheel , I am now just logging back in after my Old Lady's Friday nap. Are you maybe referring to CHARMIN? Lol, I don't watch TV or keep up on the commercials in Retirement but seem to remember the BEAR FAMILY. I use the cheap 1-ply Walmart huge pack once a month when the government deposits my Retirement Social Security. What do you and your wife use? As usual, NO pressure to respond. Another interesting discussion my friend. Nicole

I like Cottonelle..... a little pricey so I wait until my local grocer has a Buy one, Get one promotion or another promotion where they offer a discount but not quite a Buy one, Get one.....then I load up on product. Came in handy when there was a run on TP around the time of the pandemic.
I was referring to several different brands in my original post....Cottonelle(named after a fabric material), Quilted Northern(had a commercial with a fake musical group called the Quilted Queens), and, of course you got Charmin's bears.

Lol, those bears are SO CUTE!!! @nctarheel , my daughter in Florida will only use 2ply. Told her to bring a roll when she comes to see me in September here in Virginia for my birthday. I could feel her eyes "rolling" through the phone. Good idea to catch the sales. I guess I could do the same = SO LAZY these days. But an excellent way to save some pennies. Thanks for sharing.
