Coffee !

I've been all over these forums & can't find the 'right forum', so mybe i'll find an answer on the front porch ?  Smiley Very Happy

I have 2 cans of 'cheapie' coffee ; tried mixing them so they would be more flavorful, but not-so-much did it work. Might buy a more spendy brand & mix them, but in meantime, anyone have any ideas on how to make these cheap brands taste better ?

Thanks !

I love the picture of the dog in the tub. I actually had to give my dog a bath, but I had to tell my furbaby I had to have a cup of coffee before I did so. I am so glad that you were posting to the various forms on these sites.

First of all, DaveMcK, I just wanted to thank you for the welcome to "Coffee!"  I truly appreciated that kind gesture.   And as for the above  pic taken from your post, I had a good laugh over it and I just wanted you to know, if need be, I got your bail!  Smile.

Good morning, Coffee Drinkers!!!!

I have just finished my first cup of Folger's and my eyes are wide open.    It's not nearly as cold as it was yesterday morning and the sun is in full  force with blue skies to boot!  So I'm going to venture out for the day.  Got a lot of stops to make.  You all have yourselves the "bestest" day possible.  And be good to good ol' irreplaceable YOU!

I do drink coffee, but am not a big afficianado of it.  Every morning I drink it - because that is what my wife is doing.  If she didn't make it - I doubt that I would be having any.  With me - it's 50-50: take it or leave it.

All that being said - I must tell you about Kona Coffee.

From Wiki:

Kona coffee is the market name for coffee (Coffea arabica) cultivated on the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa in the North and South Kona Districts of the Big Island of Hawaii. It is one of the most expensive coffees in the world. Only coffee from the Kona Districts can be described as "Kona". The weather of sunny mornings, cloud or rain in the afternoon, little wind, and mild nights combined with porous, mineral-rich volcanic soil create favorable coffee growing conditions.

This stuff is really good tasting!    We have a bag of beans we brought back from Kona.  We have it only on the weekends.

If you decide to get some - make sure it is not a blend.  If the price is much less than $40 a pound - it is not authentic.
