Consumer Cellular Pulls a Slick One

My plan was $19 + 5 for unlimited talk and text. My sister had the same plan and had she not checked their plans we would never had known our plans were obsoleted months ago and replaced with a lower cost plan ($19) with more data. No notification to anyone still paying more on a plan that no longer exists. CC told me they had no way to notify those paying more. I'll bet they have a way to notify everyone if the price goes up. Plus they told me they had no way of telling me how many months I was paying $5 more than I should have. They acted as though they were doing me a favor by refunding $5 for the month I called. Check your plans! AARP was aware of this but they didn't tell me of any notifications to it's members.

ATT raised my rates and said they notified everyone by text.  Except I don't have text.  They know this.  I told them take it off my account, my phone does not do text so don't text me.  But that is how thy do their communicating.  CC is probably similar.  I had CC in 2014 when I first got a cell phone but after 5 or 6 months of their ridiculous billing practices and games I switched.

How do you know AARP was aware of this?

Consumer Cellular as with most companies, have a CYA tag line โ€ฆ

This was on their websiteโ€ฆโ€Consumer Cellular, Inc. Terms and Conditions subject to changeโ€
