AARP Eye Center
My mother in law is 76 and still working for the board of education. She started collecting her social security at 65 as she was still working. Apparently, she was sent a notice that she was going to be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B. Part A was free but if she didn't want Part B, she was to check off a box. Well, she doesn't remember ever getting that letter. I discovered the other day while looking at her taxes that she was paying into medicare as if she had it. Called medicare and found out she's been enrolled and paying into it since 2011 and she had no clue she had it or even used it. I was told that she can't get reimbursed from the city cause she's still working. The city will usually go back 3 years. We plan on terminating part b until she retires. Any advice from anyone? Thanks
