AARP UHC Supplement G premiums increase 10% mid 2025

24 months in and my supp G premiums up 18% cumulatively.  The starting point was outrageously high. Not a prior 'age discount' related increase. .  The reason(s) explained via scripted included 'rising healthcare costs, increased utilization'...etc,

Providers and insurers system broken vertically and horizontally, and this UHC plan is at the head of line.

Open enrollment, goodbye UHC

If you're talking about the Medicare open enrollment at the end of the year, that has nothing to do with supplements.  If you can pass medical underwriting, you can change your supplement any time you want.

If you can't pass medical underwriting, your state might have a period during which you can switch supplements without medical underwriting (like around your birthday or the anniversary date of the policy, or in a very small number of states any time of the year).  If you're not in one of those states, the open enrollment period at the end of the year won't allow you to do anything you can't do during any other time of the year.

And for what it's worth, 18% over two years is not that bad.  Everybody's getting hit hard.
