AARP UHC Medicare Advantage OTC benefit and Walmart

The UHC phone app has an option to verify that an item qualifies by scanning the barcode.

Unfortunately, Walmart store systems are not synced with this, and so when I shop at my local Walmart to spend my quarterly Over The Counter money using my UCard, the Walmart checkout says most items do NOT qualify.

I have contacted UHC and Walmart, and they both blame each other. AARP should hold these corporations responsible for getting in sync, since their name is on the title of the plan.

@JimL877594

So you are following the directions on this page (bottom) and are still finding the items that are shown as covered on the UHC app but not at check out at Walmart?

UHC.com - Credits for OTC products, healthy food and utility bills

I know the Walmart site also says that you can use it like a debit card or build it into your Wallet and gives instructions on it too -

Walmart.com - Food and OTC - Medicare Advantage card - Link Your Card

I canโ€™t help you anymore that just give these how-to sites -

Walmart does work with many different insurers for these OTC products - so maybe it does have some technical hickups.

ITโ€˜S ALWAYS SOMETHING . . . . .. . . .
