To add a bit more to my post on Medigap premiums increasing -

Think about this:

If you have a Plan G and your premiums for that Plan G rose to $ 500 a month but Congress passes legislation that caps your out of pocket cost in Medicare (A & B) to $ 5000 per year -   There would be NO need for the Medigap plan.
