Lazy Fun - Critique Commercials/Print advertising (no company names though)

I have fun when I'm just bored and critique commercials.  Some just have really BAD acting or odd stereotyping and some just have a weird message.

The latest one that drives me nuts is the one for the personal medical alert system.  I also laugh when I notice that it's always a woman cleaning the toilet and on her knees while cleaning it with a long handled brush.  At least they're good for a laugh!

Don't you just hate the medication advertising?  Commercials OR Print Ads?  It seems that they have all these interesting treatments with happy, active people but then they start listing Possible side effects and drug/food interactions.  One I saw in print had an additional half page of side effects and interactions!

📎  Lol @GAKKIEZ , that is WHY I am doing my Hot Flashes without HORMONES. But I did run into a lady at Kroger a few months ago who had to. She DIDNOT want to, but poor thing was dealing with 24 hours/7 days SWEAT pouring off her. Now, then I would. Me, I just dress in LAYERS so I can "strip" when my PERSONAL HEATER comes on./lol  😂🤣

@SummerOnTheWay1, I can't do the hormones (cancer survivor) but I use the hot flashes to my advantage.  They usually hit about 2 AM, so that's when I take my shower (I'm up anyway).

@SummerOnTheWay1 , still haven't turned on my heat this year. House indoor temp sitting at 65. Not cold enough yet and a cool house encourages me to do chores and cook the good hot winter meals (I'm in the mood for my comfort foods noodles with onions, tortillas with re-fried beans, home-made fried rice, and bake some cookies).

I survived and never regretted the decisions made for survival (I was 25 when diagnosed.)

📎@GAKKIEZ , so far here in Virginia I have used heat at night about 3 nights.

Usually I get heat from my neighbor ABOVE me and the ones on EACH side = 3 heat sources. But IF one of them is gone, I do have to turn on heat when it is in the 30's outside. I also TAPE my one door as COLD AIR comes INSIDE on one side of door. Lol, I can see outside through the gap.  😂🤣

@SummerOnTheWay1 I noticed you mentioned cold air coming in a door.  Have you contacted property management to make repair or tried to repair yourself.  It's probably a simple repair to make sure the door hangs level (fix: tighten hinge screws) or add/repair the insulation/seal around the door. Also check the threshold to make sure it's tight.

I have a door that I have to adjust frequently because I have family members entering/exiting with a rolator/walker or a wheelchair that takes the door out of alignment.

📎  Happy Saturday @GAKKIEZ !!!

Lol, I have been living in this Studio Apartment since 2018 after being homeless in 2017.

Job hours had been reduced at Burlington in Manassas, Virginia and other businesses were closing theirs doors.

I hopped on Amtrak to stay at the Roanoke Rescue Mission, saved $5,000 (NEW job), bought a car and moved.

I am telling you this to EXPLAIN why I TAPE door.

It is the GHETTO, slum landlord = nothing gets fixed and YEARS of disrepair. I am predicting apartment complex will soon be CONDEMNED.

I am working on getting out of here and CHOOSE not to get put out for reporting them. Over the years, folks have been.

Thanks for CARING my friend!!!  🤗🤗🤗

  @SummerOnTheWay1 Happy Saturday!

Sorry to hear of the troubles. I was just offering a suggestion since I'm a home owner and have to do things to prevent calling on professional help.

My older sister owns her home and is disabled. She got her house through the Section 8 Homebuyers program and has even done a re-finance with them. Have you checked that program?  My older sister never worked.  It's a small house but that's really all she needs. She's had to call on her kids or grandkids to make repairs periodically.

📎  An interesting topic @GAKKIEZ !!!  👍  At the moment I do not do commercials. Have not had a TV for years = no time to sit in front of it. Same with other media.
