What's a Nil bid in Spades - and when should I use it?

In Spades, a Nil bid means you’re betting you won’t win any tricks. This is a high-risk, high-reward maneuver – if you succeed, your partnership earns 100 points, but if you don’t, you lose 100 points.

You’ll lose points if you win even one trick, so use it only when your hand is weak.

Consider using a Nil bid when you have few high cards or short or balanced suits. It can be a great tool for gaining a strategic advantage – but be careful!

Think you can pull off a perfect Nil? Put your skills to the test—play Spades now and see if you can outsmart the table!
