Retirement Gift Rhyming

Some retire and go adrift,

have hard time making the shift.

others travel far and near,

or get to volunteer.

"Your" free time is the gift.

There was no watch and no case,

There was no cake in it's place,

But the gift that I got,

Was the one that I sought,

And that was the smile on my face.

@postman29  Fantastic!  Really well done. The rhyming is superb "got" and "sought", may have to "borrow" that sometime.  Maybe I should start a notebook with future rhyming pairs .
