Allowing EMOTIONAL release: Cry, journal, talk, or use art to express feelings.
โโโโโโโโโก๏ธโโโโโโโโ[*** Sometimes we may feel we are on a Rollercoaster Ride. But like those rides, we will have "opportunities" to get off our ride. TREASURE those "opportunities" & know with time we will have MORE "peaceful" moments. โโ

โโโโ๐ Monthly "Online" Group WELLNESS CHECKS!!!
[1] WE check on Group Members on the 1st of EACH month.
[2] WE do "understand" that there are days or nights WE donot feel like "chatting". That is part of OUR JOURNEY to "creating" a life without the person WE lost. โโโโโโ
[3] That is OKAY. Stop by when you do. OUR WELCOME MAT IS ALWAYS OUTSIDE OUR DOOR.

๐ช You might need to:
(1) Write a NEW will and UPDATE your advance care planning.
(2) Look into a durable power of attorney for legal matters and health care in case you are unable to make your own medical decisions in the future.
(3) Put JOINT property (such as a house or car) in your name.
(4) Consider changes you may need to make to your health insurance as well as to your life, car, and homeownerโs insurance.
(5) Make a list of BILLS you will need to pay in the next few months, for example, your rent or mortgage; utilities such as electricity, water, and phone and internet services; insurance; and state and federal taxes.
*** Try NOT to "stress" and take 1 step at a time!

โโโโโ๐โโโโโโโ CAT OWNERS, our babies are "missing" our luv one just as much as we are.
So try to make some EXTRA time to "cuddle" with them.
TOGETHER you will BOTH "move" forward the best you can.
*** Mister, my cat along with my "only" child (a daughter in a different state from me) are MY REASONS for "creating" ways to MOVE FORWARD. Find yours!!!

โโโโโโโโโโ๐โโ DOG OWNERS, a "daily" walk will help BOTH of you with "missing" your luv one. Yes, pets do "grieve" like we do.
And the "exercise" will aid with sleeping at nights.
*** A GREAT way to "connect" with OTHER dog owners & "possible" NEW friends.

โโโโ๐ค๐ Because you are GRIEVING you may "feel" unable to "reply" to (support) ANOTHER GRIEVER here in the AARP Grief & Loss Forum.
But doing so (replying) has helped ALL of OUR GROUP members "feel" more in control of THEIR GRIEF.
Why?
Maybe because being a GRIEVER themselves = they know what TO SAY = comforting someone else "fills" THEIR INSIDES with "feeling" they have HELPED someone.
Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by when you can.

Hey,Nicole! I have thought about you so many times over the last few weeks. I hope that this message finds you well. Jim and I have been dealing with a lot as usual. The local news were looking into why the man that caused the accident that killed our granddaughter ,Brea, and injured several others has still not been identified and charged with anything. The only new thing was that the police and DA for the county are trying to figure out what to charge him with. It is so ridiculous. It has been so many weeks, actually going on months. No one understands what the hold up is. So, our family and friends are still dealing with the aftermath of that terrible accident, and other bad things are always happening. 2 of our grandsons had the flu. Our granddaughter, Scarlett, is getting over having strep throat. Stewie was sick and had the runs for a couple weeks. Then, last night, I started feeling real sick. I was throwing up and had to keep going to the bathroom. I chugged down so much Pepto Bismol. I feel much better this morning. Life, it is always something, and too often, it is too many bad things. I try so hard to be positive. As you, I, and so many people on here know, some days, it seems impossible. But, I am glad that the weather has been sunny and warm. The flowers are blooming. We have family and friends. We have a place to live, food to eat, and enough money to pay the bills. So, we are doing a lot better than a lot of people. I am glad to hear from you, Nicole! Much love and so many hugs to you and Mister from me and my Crew! Take Care and God Bless, us,and everyone! ๐๐๐๐บ๐ฑ๐ธ๐ป

[6/2/26] Dear Michelle @MichelleC103656 , SO GLAD to hear from you dear friend. ๐๐๐
Geez, what is WRONG with our Justice System??? Goodness, he KILLED & INJURED!!!
I maybe wrong, but with all the LAWSUITS these days, it seems states are SCARED to "lock" them up.
Then when they do get locked up, living a life of ease.
Just read where a prisoner had a SCAM going on. Took thousands via Identity Theft.
My question, how did this happen???
Then he breaks out of jail & nowhere to be found.
Again SO SORRY for your losses. And yes we have all those things you mention but we still MISS THEM EVERY DAY.
Mister is outside somewhere being his own man. I try NOT to "think" of one day either I or he will die 1st. Hard after so much loss.
Working on 1 step at a time. Yes, sometimes that step is EASY. Other times NOT & I stay in bed in tears.
On a GOOD note, finally after 7 MONTHS of 1st car needing a Head Gasket to breaking my ankle = I "is" back on the road AGAIN since May 14th.
Stress & grief will do a number on you so please be "gentle" with yourself.
Lol, with Stewie, he probably got into something outside!!! Between him & Mister (BOTH luv outside) - I don't know how we survive & NOT worry ourselves to death over them. With Mister, we have a LONE Coyote (thought it was a dog) that trots through here EVERY night at 10pm. I try to keep my "little" rebel in, but now that SPRING is here - NOT working.
Luv to you, Jim, Bristol ๐, Stewie ๐and Nova ๐.

Yes,the legal system is a joke. New York is completely and totally ridiculous. I have seen on the news about some people being arrested 60 times and are still walking free. I wish that more states were like California, 3 strikes and you are locked up for the rest of your life. Here in New York, the most crimes are still teenagers stealing cars and crashing them, and drunk drivers. The courts just keep releasing them. A police officer was killed by a teenager running a stop sign. The police, judge, and DA somehow said that the boy couldn't be charged with anything. How can that be? He killed someone. I am constantly let confused and wondering what has happened to the world. I just don't know. I am so glad and happy that you have a car and are able to get out of your apartment. A vehicle is freedom and a wonderful part of life. I am very glad that you and Mister are doing well. We have to watch out for so many different kinds of wild animals here, too. We make the cats come in earlier than usual. Stewie did get into some plants, lilies. He was chewing on the leaves. He has been on a couple different medications. We are lucky that it wasn't worse. He was trying to catch a big squirrel a few minutes ago. It was trying to bury a walnut in one of our potted plants. They have done that too many times and have even broken some of our pots. Someone was knocking on the front door. It was the mailman. We had an Amazon package, some Gain, and new tags for the cats. They are from Crumb. It is a new network and way to track your cats and dogs when they get lost. The first one was free. We have to add the app and get them all set up to keep the kitty cats safe. Okay,I had better get going. It is always wonderful to receive your messages, Nicole. I am very happy that you and Mister are doing better. Hugs and Luv to you and yours from me and the Crew! Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Talk to you again, real soon! ๐๐๐ค๐ฑ๐ธ๐ป๐บ

[6/2/26] Michelle @MichelleC103656 , I am glad I am old and will be gone soon. My heart just could NOT take too much more of the way society is now.
I stay in Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. And go out when EVERYONE is "hopefully" working and NOT "riding" my bumper. Here in Virginia we have alot of mountains & 2-lane roads. I use to ENJOY driving, but as I AGE, I am over it. I now go out "as needed". Over the years, EVERY accident I had - someone ran into my bumper. Yes, NOT "paying" attention. I use to listen to my radio, tapes as a youngster while driving. NOT anymore. I need to drive for myself & the other driver. Lol, even IF I have the right a way, I will NOT push for it = I let the bully have it. I luv being "alive" in these AWFUL times of road rage killing people.
I will check on you AGAIN for our "next" WELLNESS Check for our group on July 1st.
Nicole ๐๐ค

Oh Nicole, I know what mean. Jim and I talk about it all the time. We miss the way things used to be. We miss the "old" world. We miss better and simpler times. At least we knew a better world. Some people never will. Bye for now, until another day and time!๐๐ป๐ค๐ฑ๐บ

Hi my name is Marian. My husband, Gary, died two months ago. I do like to talk about his death as it helps me process it. I lost my first husband 2009. Married Gary in 2016. What a life I have had. Iโm not bitter or mad. Iโm just lonely. ๐

I am a 53 yr old adult with ASD. My dad was really the only family I had. We always celebrated our bdays together, mine April 3- he fell and had to have brain surgery. Never recovered. Passed on April 10. His bday May 4- I was so lost without him. I feel broken. I feel like the world just got so big and confusing. I dont know how to live without him. Who do I call when life is hard? Who do I have lunch with? Go shopping with? Or celebrate my bday with? I don't know how to do this. I don't want to.

Iโm so sorry for your unexpected loss, @BocaWoman . Thatโs really hard. I would imagine itโs been hard to cope without him. For many people getting involved in volunteering or activities can keep the mind and hands busy. It doesnโt stop the pain of loss, but can occupy oneโs mind and keep from being enveloped in the horrible sadness. Iโm sorry for your pain. It can be hard without the people we love. What gives me comfort when my mind starts down that sad feeling, is to know my loved one loved me and would not want me to isolate and feel discouraged and sad. Itโs hard at times to remember that, but it has helped me through many a time. Take care of yourself.
