Reflection

@Winter2024 .

I know that I have posted or responded and I am very sorry but, I have been trying to get through the holidays and January 23rd is the one year anniversary of my husband's death. I have been in a very angry and anxious place with my family. My mom has been diagnosed with dementia and I love her with all of my heart but, at the same time I have a younger brother who helps only when I ask. We had a talk about how there are going to be times he has to help so him and his wife, notice how I didn't say sister in law ( that's a whole other situation) went ahead and called the elder attorney that we had when my step dad got sick and passed. It's not that I don't agree with them but, at the same time I am also her child and it really would have been nice if he had called me first and then did it. Decisions should be made by both her children and I know that it was his wife who called because he said Patty and I not me and Patty. I am having severe financial problems, social security is still playing around with me and my son and I am just tired of fighting especially, since I have a lawyer for my disability claim. They don't care about me but they will be quick to get their money. Of course they are stalling because it means more money for them because if approved they have to back pay over 2 years. Sorry to rant but, I feel like you are the only person besides my BFF that understands what I am going through. On a more positive note, our BIG boy Beasley was six months old Saturday and he is already huge. He will not reach his full potential until he is 2 but growth progression slows down around 1 1/2. Also, his ears will grow with him, not that they aren't big enough already. He woke me up at 5:30 am to potty and then goes back to sleep while I have to stay up to get my son ready for his adult program. They had their end of year party and me, my mom and his sister went and we all had a great time. He was so excited when they called his name and he was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his year with them and had his picture taken. So, in closing here's our beautiful boy enjoying his morning snooze. Love you bunches my sister. 🌹🌹💐

Not exactly sure if this will be helpful or not, but I feel ya @KimberlyM389662 ...especially regarding medicare.

That part of your post reminded me of when I first accessed the internet back in the late 20th Century.  I was zooming around the information super highway with a 33.6 baud modem (remember Screen Painting?) and AOL was my ISP.

One of the things AOL used to do was offer games as a value-added aspect of 'Membership'.  One of the games they offered was a Stock Market game.  Players bought, sold, traded stocks with imaginary money and the game reported their results based on the activity of the actual stock markets.  Your post got me thinking what a boon it would be to have a game like that for Medicare (wink wink nudge nudge AARP).  A game that let players select from real plans presented as Medicare.  Then enter various care scenarios (Dr. Visit, Prescription, Dental, Vision or Emergency) then sent them a (hypothetical but accurate) bill base on the details of their plan's covrage.

Hoping you find and enjoy the joy of the season.
