Rewards

I have been getting the same error message whether trying to earn or redeem rewards - either try later or login again - neither works. This all started when I renewed membership. Anyone else have issues?  It's frustrating and makes me want to ask for my membership money back.

Same error message for me too. Can't be the computer, my wife uses the same one and has no issues. I have two gift cards that I paid for and never rec'd either.

Hi lk6694. I understand how frustrating error messages can be. Can you send us a private message with your name and mailing address, so we may locate your AARP Rewards account to check on the error and the gift cards you haven't received yet? Visit https://aarp.info/47hWcl7 for directions on how to enable private messages. Thanks for being part of AARP Rewards. - Brandon C.

You know private message feature doesn't work for everyone and the chat function is horrible.  And don't send me the link to "fix the private message function" as that option to enable is completely missing in the settings and options menu.  I frankly don't believe they actually opened the ticket they said for this exact issue I reported over a week ago.  NO RESPONSE.  The one chat guy flat out lied to me and said it was a traffic to the site issue and proceeded to cancel my ticket.  Next day after numerous disconnects from Chat finally got someone who said they opened a ticket.  Yesterday over 5 minutes arguing with a different chat person who couldn't find my account (um had for well over a year and have points - get your emails and "opened a ticket" last week.).  He then also proceeded to lie and tell me it's because my address wasn't on file.  Looked it up sure was.   You need to actually work on solving these issues instead of adding more features.  The entire rewards things need fixing. About 5% of the videos don't link to an actual video another 5+% NEVER credit the points.

I absolutely agree! Their usual response... "I'll open a ticket" or " Send me a private message," or "I'll escalate your ticket" ... PATHETIC!

I don't know ANYONE who has been able to enable private messages! The option DOESN'T exist.

@RiverBoatAndrew , I have always had the PM (private message) tab. 2024 is when it disappeared I guess for NEW people registering to use this site. AARP keeps telling them to "enable" = like you just said, tab is NOT there. Ridiculous!!! Fix it AARP.

Ellen @EllenB948639 , I hope AARP responds to you when they clock back in today at 8am ET. If NOT, you can call them or do the Chat [keep typing CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT as your response to Chatbot = will eventually transfer you to a HUMAN]. Their Text Option is a waste of time in my humble opinion = another bot telling you to clear your cookies and so on. Good luck!
