How do I book a flight for a group of people?

3 choices:

1 - make individual bookings on whatever the best flight option is (prices may be different and go up as you book, as cheaper seats sell out).

2 - contact the airline's groups department, either by email or phone, and ask for a group quote. This will typically result in a higher fare than the cheapest online, but give extra flexibility with name changes and payments.

3 - work with an agency that specializes in group travel. Maybe a bit more expensive, but not hugely, and you'd have a central contact to make it easier for you. I run an agency and we typically charge $35 per ticket for domestic groups, on top of whatever fare we negotiate with the airline.
