Saying Goodbye to Syllacrostic

Thank you so much for being part our community at AARP Games! We wanted to let you know we are retiring one of our games to help make room for some exciting new ones.

Syllacrostic is no longer available to play.

If you’re looking for a new favorite, keep an eye on the AARP Games page, where we announce our frequent new game launches. (We bet you’ll love some of our latest games: the classic card game Gin Rummy,or Hex Puzzle Adventure!)

Thank you again for keeping play in your life with AARP Games. We’ll see you on the leaderboard!

This has been a staple of my gameplaying for ages and I am thoroughly disappointed with the decision to eliminate it. PLEASE bring it back. SOONER, rather than later!

I'm extremely disappointed that I can no longer play Syllacrostic at the AARP Games website. It's a game I looked forward to playing every day and I found it quite challenging.  Please reconsider this action as I am sure that there are many others who enjoyed playing this game daily.

I'm really disappointed that you removed Syllacrostic. It was one of the games I played every day. First you removed Jigsaw Blast, and now this. I've tried some of the new games, and I don't find any of them "exciting." I have no interest in emoji games or card games. There are still a few games here I'll play daily, but I'll be looking at other websites for my morning games fix.

Adding my voice to those who strongly want it back!

Sorry I do not agree with this change.  I am one of those who enjoyed Syllacrostic.  Please bring it back.  Maybe a poll of users would help decide which game/games you remove in the future?

Please bring back Syllacrostic.  There are multiple traditional style crosswords on the site.  Surely one of those could have been removed to keep Syllacrostic for those of us who enjoy something a little different.

If the reason for removing it was lack of players, it's probably because it was NEVER promoted on the starting page like some of the others that are over promoted.

FYI to the Game community.  Per AI, as inaccurate as that has been but worth a shot:

You can play the word game Syllacrostic for free online at sites like Arkadium and HSN Arcade. The game was also developed by a user who shared it on Reddit, and the original creator has moved to a new version on Reddit.
  • Arkadium: Offers a free online version of the game, Arkadium.
  • HSN Arcade: Features a free online game of Syllacrostic, HSN Arcade.
  • Reddit: The creator of the game shared it on Reddit and has moved the game to a new community, r/syllo on Reddit.

Hi

Thank you for your post but I did not find Syllacrostic on HSN or Arkadium.  I do not use Reddit.

I'm REALLY unhappy about the loss of Syllacrostic! 😞💔

I'm sure there were other games that could have been removed to 'make room' for whatever was needed to be added.

I don't use Reddit, so I'm out of luck. 😥

Absolutely agree, bring it back!

That’s awful.  I loved playing Syllacrostic.  I never made the leader board but it was a good mental challenge.
