Why was this changed to a Tracfone app? I was used to the way it looked and I find the new graphic much more difficult to use.

Didn't know 'tracphone' still existed--I guess this is a cheaper way to advertise. 

Also, is this when the Mahjong Solitaire scores went through the roof into the mid-100,000's? Weird. 

I'll play the 'original' non-commercial game, but I'm happy to hit 70K score level.

You can keep the disguised 'tracphone' ads--I'm OK w/Consumer Cellular & an older smartphone from them.

What bothers me is that AARP has now made the game an advertisement for Tracphone. What's next? Crosswords where every clue is a plug for a particular product?

Agreed! The graphics look cheap and are so blatantly 'sponsored' that I bailed midway through 1st game. 

I'm assuming AARP received a pretty penny for running that game, so if others enjoy it, great. I'm out.

The scores for the original version should be separated from the Tracfone version! It's unfair to compare both types of games. I'll be moving over to a different Mah Jongg site until AARP goes back to the original and not the version that's an advertisement.

As members, we aren't as important as the Tracfone MahJongg is. This version is terrible, almost, though not nearly as bad as Tracfone service itself is! We should be given the option of playing the usual game or the Tracfone version. Not playing until the original has returned!

There is no link when I open the paid advertisers version (trac pone,) and I have to find this community every time when I get booted out of aarp. Bring back the old version!

@CharlesC230189 Hi, I play the original all the time.  Look at where the description for the Tracfone game is.  In Red (sorry blue) letter text, there’s a blurb about the original, click there.

I realize it’s annoying, but here’s the way to get to the Original Mahjongg Solitaire from the bottom of the display screen on the Tracfone game display banner.

Hi again, @d672599f   Just now I went to look and the path to the original has a new look to it.  Go to the Tracfone version, and where that game’s high scores are displayed, you’ll see the text to go to the original.  This too, is another ploy to move that around, so someone really has to look for it.  Otherwise they player gives up and would play the new version.  Here’s what my screen shows now and where to find the text to go to original.

Look for it on the screen that shows Play button on the Tracfone game. It’s on that screen.

Also as an aside…

    The more people bypass the tracfone game and use this pathway to go to the original game via this way, the click-though counts  will show how many people prefer the original.   Many times companies use this as a way to decide how much traffic something gets.  In this case, the more traffic through this way, the more data they get to show people prefer the old version.

    If people decide not to play the original because they are pissed at the way they now have to get it, the results will then show NO counts to the original version.  Hence, the data supports removing it at some point.  If you want the original to stay…USE this new pathway.

i REALLY hate the new version of Mahjongg Solitaire. Please remove it. It's extremely hard on the eyes to see distinct cubes.

I do not see the original game in the main “games” menu..why should I have to go find a link every time I play this. I usually play multiple games per day. The new “ Trac Phone” [advertise paid to AARP] version is bad as you cannot differentiate between the tiles.

Hello, Teri –

I may be one of the few that really enjoys the Tracfone Mahjongg Solitaire because it is challenging.  It is fun to take on a new challenge and learn the new Mahjong tiles.  And, each time I play I recognize tiles and begin to match the tiles more easily.  I still enjoy the old version which is more traditional.  But, for now, I am going to keep practicing to get better each time.  It is awesome!  Thank you!

The problem is that my eyesight is not good enough to match the symbols.  Since this is an AARP game, I would think others have the same problem.  I do put it in larger mode, but it's still too difficult.

Are you on your phone playing, @Nitropam1967 ?  I use a tablet and works well for me.  Hadn’t tried on the laptop yet, it has touchscreen as well but I prefer the AARP App on tablet.
