Mahjongg Solitaire

Why was this changed to a Tracfone app? I was used to the way it looked and I find the new graphic much more difficult to use.

Hello, Teri –

I may be one of the few that really enjoys the Tracfone Mahjongg Solitaire because it is challenging.  It is fun to take on a new challenge and learn the new Mahjong tiles.  And, each time I play I recognize tiles and begin to match the tiles more easily.  I still enjoy the old version which is more traditional.  But, for now, I am going to keep practicing to get better each time.  It is awesome!  Thank you!

The problem is that my eyesight is not good enough to match the symbols.  Since this is an AARP game, I would think others have the same problem.  I do put it in larger mode, but it's still too difficult.

Are you on your phone playing, @Nitropam1967 ?  I use a tablet and works well for me.  Hadn’t tried on the laptop yet, it has touchscreen as well but I prefer the AARP App on tablet.

Ahhh, ok.  I know there are display settings that can be tweaked on windows displays , but I’ll bet you’ve done those already.

I found the original, but the leader board scores seem to be off. They used to be around 100,000 and now 147,000???

most recently I saw a high score of 165,000! My highest was 90,000 and I can’t seem to get more than that no matter what I try. I really wish someone would come out with a video with an example board showing how to get that many points.

The high scores people are getting are on the Mahjonng Solitaire Tracfone version. For some reason the scores are being combined with the original Mahjongg Solitaire.

I I think people getting those extremely high scores that never existed before are using AI tools.

Or perhaps @dvanormer they are playing it on Arkadium's site and know the patterns when they play the game here.  There’s also the time zone setting change hack.  Ask any kid, they know how people do this.  It’s inevitable, so I just enjoy the game and not concerned with it.

It’s awful. I’m not playing it anymore. It’s not mahjong, it’s a ridiculous techno advertisement. I’ll play my mahjong solitaire elsewhere.

It’s there, see my screenshot above.  Yes, it’s a few clicks to get to it, but it’s there.

Why should it require extra steps to get to a game that, in its original form, is so popular? The new graphic is not user friendly.

Agree @DeborahS687500  But that’s what it is at the moment.

I didn’t like the Tracfone version either.  But the loudest way for them to hear that is by not playing that version if you don’t like it, and use the older version link instead.  Data driven stats can speak volumes.

Most people on these discussion boards lurk, and don’t post here.  The data in clicks, speaks. So you can complain and not like it, I get it, I feel the same way.  Or you can play the version you like.  Dollars to doughnuts the old version will stay.  Caveat though…it’s their sandbox, and they can pull any game and replace it at any point anyway.

Otherwise… these Arkadium games are free to play on their own website too.

I agree with you…shouldn’t have to, but I’d rather play it while it’s still here.
