How can I disable seeing comments on videos and other content on this website?

I want to disable viewing comments when I am logged in. Why can't I do that?

Comments are sometimes at the bottom of videos.  Don’t scroll past the video and you won’t see them. Not trying to be flippant, but I know of no other way to disable the comments on the videos.

, other than don’t scroll down and look at them if you don’t want to see them
