FAQ Cooking Live
What is Cooking Live?
Cooking Live is a fast-paced cooking game where you need to serve your customers exactly the dishes they order while balancing all sorts of ingredients.
What is the goal of the game?
The goal of the game is to feed all your customers the dishes they request before they get frustrated and leave. Serve enough customers to beat the level and move on to the next!
When do I beat a level?
Before each level, the game will tell you which objectives you need to accomplish. This could be serving a specific number of customers, staying open for a specific length of time, or some other objectives youโll learn about as the game goes on!
How do I play once I begin a level?
When the level begins, youโll be behind the counter, with ingredients and serving stations in front of you. Click on an ingredient, like the eggs, and it will automatically move to an open pan. When food is being prepared, a circular timer will appear next to it. For drinks like juice, the timer runs automatically and you donโt have to click at all. For eggs, once the timer is complete a new โburningโ timer will replace it. Click the eggs again to automatically move them to a plate. Soon, customers will show up and ask for food, shown by a picture. Click on the ingredients to build the plates they ask for (i.e., click on the eggs to cook them, click them again to move them to a plate, and click on the tomatoes or bread to add those to the plate) and click on the finished plate to automatically send it to a customer. When the customer arrives they will have a vertical timer next to their order; be sure to give them their food before that timer runs out of theyโll leave.
Can I lose?
Yes โ if you donโt complete your objectives in time you will lose the game.
After each level I receive coins and rubies. What do I use these for?
When you beat a level, youโll receive rewards. Some of these rewards, like coins and rubies, can be used to purchase valuable upgrades. From the main screen in between each level, youโll see your total of rubies and coins in the top left of the screen. Click on either one for the opportunity to earn more by watching ads. Then, click โupgradesโ in the bottom left of the screen. Here, you can combine your coins and rubies to buy upgrades for your kitchen equipment, helping you create more food more quickly. When you purchase an upgrade, after a short while (that you can shorten by using rubies), it will appear in the deliveries tab in the bottom right. Click the tab and click the box that pops up to apply your upgrade to your kitchen!
Are there other ways to earn coins and rubies?
Yes. Look around the main screen for more opportunities to watch ads to earn currency. Additionally, there is a progress bar at the top of the main screen. Once your progress bar reaches one of the gift baskets โ usually after you complete 20 levels โ youโll receive an infusion of coins and rubies. Donโt forget to use them to purchase upgrades!
How can I play faster?
In Cooking Live, there is one way to stay ahead of the steady stream of customer orders: always work ahead. If you receive an order of eggs and only then throw some eggs into the pan, youโll run out of space and time too quickly.
Itโs important to be as ready as you can be before each order. For the first group of levels, that means:
- Always having eggs ready to go on your plates, and no additional eggs cooking while your plates are full (thereโs no penalty for eggs sitting out!)
- Always having a muffin ready to serve (once you unlock the oven)
- Starting to cook something as soon as thereโs space for it at your serving station (serve some eggs? Cook more eggs!)
This way, when you need to deal with multiple orders at once, all you have to do is click on the item to serve it โ or just add some tomatoes and toast to the ready-to-serve eggs.
Donโt forget to upgrade your equipment from the โUpgradesโ tab at the bottom left of the main screen, using the coins and rubies you get by beating levels. These upgrades allow you to cook more at once and more quickly!
How do boosters work?
Once you beat a certain number of levels in Cooking Live, one of three boosters will become available to you. Eventually, youโll have access to all three. At the beginning of each level, you can choose one to use:
- Pan: Grants you a โshieldโ that prevents your eggs from burning if they sit in the pan.
- Coins: Gives you extra coins for completing orders.
- Chefโs Hat: Your cooking and food preparation occurs instantly.
Sometimes youโll be presented with a โhard levelโ โ the game will tell you if the next level will be extra tough when you have the option to choose a booster. Thatโs a great time to use one!
Can I turn off the sound and music in Cooking Live?
Yes. Click the gear icon in the top right of the screen and you can toggle sound and music on and off.

Looks like they finally fixed the Pizza shop. Finished playing in the pizza shop only to find out that there was no more shops to cook in. Thought that a diner with lunch or dinner would be the next step. Any idea if more are going to be added. How about a drive thru????

We're aware that some players are having trouble when reaching the pizzeria portion of the Cooking Live game, and the game is lagging, freezing and crashing in some situations, which makes it stop working. We're currently working with the team to make sure that the problems are solved. We apologize for the issues experienced in the meantime.
Additionally, you can get support from any game at the bottom of each game page - there will be a contact Arkadium Support and there is a lot of information there as well as the ability to report an issue.

How can we report problems with the Cooking Live game? The Report link at the top of these messages seems to be for reporting inappropriate messages.
1. The app temporarily freezes when you put the pizza in the oven. Sometimes it doesn't unfreeze. Sometimes the words "Fatal error" show up, but most of the time, they don't.
2. On level 54 of the pizzeria, it freezes when you get down to 2 customers left (sometimes a little before that). Every time. Can't play past that level.

Click on the pizza and then click on the opening to the oven. Then it hangs for several seconds, but eventually it'll show a done pizza in the oven. You can load in a second pizza into the second oven while it's hanging. You won't see it, though, until both are done.

I haven't had that problem. When an order is pepperoni only, I click on the pepperoni, it goes on the pizza, then I click on the pizza and the oven. If you're getting basil on the pizza when you aren't clicking on it, I'd report that. (There's a Report link at the top of these messages, but it seems to be for reporting inappropriate messages. Still, they might pass it on. Or just post the problem here and maybe the community manager will pass it on.
