At one time, several years ago, AARP's gaming platform had ads that were hacked onto their web site that were way, way, way creepier than these ads. One was for PETA, supposedly narrated by Paul McCartney, showing dead animals that had been killed through mistreatment, another was a car ad for Tata Motors in India, and a third was an independent ad generated by a family somewhere in the United States(I do not remember where).
These unauthorized ads appeared in addition to the authorized ads of AARP.
IT WAS A MESS.
It was at that point I decided to add ADBLOCKER PLUS to my browser that I use when visiting AARP.
ADBLOCKER PLUS blocks all ads before, during, and after play of any of the games at AARP'S website. It costs nothing. It is easy to install on your browser(I did it and I am as tech adverse as they come).
It updates from time to time automatically.
