I was born and raised in South Florida. I thought I'd eventually move out of state for a change of scenery. But no matter how many places I traveled to, the Sunshine State always lured me back.

[9/22/24] Hi @SIMPLEGAL , thanks for stopping by!!! I moved from Melbourne, Florida where my now 38 year old only child was born. We BOTH left in 2015, her first time ever leaving. I followed her to Virginia where she had gotten a TOTALLY AWESOME JOB. They had flown her here and hired immediately. She HATED Virginia and returned to Florida in 2018. April 11th of this year 2024, she was part of a SURPRISE MASS LAYOFF compliments of Harris L3 in Florida. YES, I had "warned" her about them as when I was pregnant with her, I was a temporary contractor who got hired on. Lasted 9 years BEFORE being put on their LAYOFF LIST. Back then they had NOT "merged" and was just HARRIS. I was able to TRANSFER. Then the second layoff happened when my daughter was age 10. NO place to transfer to. What they do is HIRE FOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS THEY ARE BIDDING ON. Great IF they win. Awful IF not = layoff of ALL team hired. Anyway, she is REFUSING to move back to Virginia and 5 MONTHS of not finding another ENGINEERING JOB there. Nicole 👵
