No Points Awarded for Taking Quizzes

FRUSTRATED! Clicked on "Weekly News Quiz"; was taken to a general quiz page instead. Took a quiz, and it didn't reward any points. What's the incentive for taking a quiz (like history of atomic bomb, which I can go the rest of my life without knowing), if you're not going to give points? Or is this just another bug?
