The U.S. government shutdown is now headed toward the one-month mark, making it the second-longest shutdown in American history.

It’s closing in on the longest, which was the last shutdown. That ran from Dec. 22, 2018, to Jan. 25, 2019 — 35 days.

Yeah, this is stressing a lot of travelers out. I’ve started building in extra time at the airport just in case - better to chill with a coffee than miss your flight because of short staffing.

@MuktaS390247 , I am surprised that planes are still flying with all the Air Traffic Controllers "drama" in the media.

 

Lol, at age 67, I am staying on the ground.

 

Between all the crashes, I NO longer feel safe flying although I will have to when I relocate back to Florida from Virginia. Seriously thought of driving, but way too many hours for my old bones. 🙄

 

Anyway, glad you figured out a system that works for you.
