Many of us will still continue using our Windows 10 devices; as we are comfortable with a relative stable OS and do not wish to purchase a new Windows 11/ a new device for various reasons.
Microsoft has offered a $30 Extended Support option ( how profitable it is of them 🙄 ) ; but WAIT - they are offering a "free" one year of Update of Security Updates.
On your device - Go to - Windows Setting ----> Windows Update - see:
'Windows 10 support ends in October 2025
Enroll in Extended Security Updates to help keep your device secure.
Enroll now Learn about the end of support'

When you click on " Enroll now "
Enroll in Extended Security Updates to stay protected
Yes, there is another option that I did not originally display - if you had a Microsoft Rewards account - you can use 'those points to purchase' a free year of extended support updates; as I believed that was not a well known and popular program that most folks are aware of.

😠 My '2 cents worth of complaints' of the Microsoft Rewards program - is that darn "15 minute" 'wait time/ cool down' between just only 15 sometimes 20 points of earning points; wtf.
😡 for basically $5.00 per month/ value.
Last night while I was updating my laptop that has Windows 10 after completing the updates I checked about getting the security updates. I was able to sign up for future updates and did not have to pay or use points.
Check updates and see if it shows you are eligible to receive future updates at no cost.
