FaceTime patch for iOS coming

Youโ€™ll need at least 50% power, or plugged in and WiFi enabled.

And yes, after long days/nights, I'd still like to swing these hunks of glass , plastic and silicon against the nearest wall Come on retirement!

Aruz,

Is a smartphone a computer?

https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001540.htm

If it has a hexacor processor A11cpu, allows browsing, word processing, etc.Multiple windows open.Biometric or fingerprint readers.

Best guess on topic, or has been since iPhone 4, they call them smart for a reason.

Security patches, updates to 64-bit operating systems, bugs, malware, ransomeware, etc. Digital certificates.

So yeah, Iโ€™d say it sure sounds like a computer - both for smartphones and pads.

wasnโ€™t that long ago that Windows phone were sold, Android is still a debatable smart device to me, updates on same os, are slow and far between manufacturers.

Froze

Can I write and run C++ or Fortran programs, e.g., image processing programs, on them?  I have been doing this on computers since 1965 (punch cards and blinking lights back then, ha, ha). Any machine that I can't use in that manner is not a computer.

So, if I am called "smart," does that make me a computer?

Aruz,

You have 3 years on me, since 1968๐Ÿคฎ here.

ARPANet , BB&N still have nightmares in LiSP or I guess now it would be AutoCad?

Mainframes then weโ€™re considered computers and had as much processing power as my first  smartphone in 4 rooms.

Or my first Thinkpad or my daily luggable TI Silent 700 with no memory, pure data terminal and 30 lb. thermal matrix paper roll.

If it has a CVE#, Or a NVD itโ€™s a Computer.
