ONCE AGAIN, AARP LEADS THEIR MEMBERS DOWN THE WRONG PATH

I just read an AARP article about extended warranties which comes to the conclusion that there are no extended warranties that are worth the money.

Having been a subscriber to CONSUMER REPORTS for years, I remember they come to the same conclusion WITH ONE EXCEPTION.

Consumer Reports, in the past, has always recommended that if you buy a iMac, iPad, or laptop from Apple, that you do spend the extra money for an extended warranty. That is because Apple's warranty is 90 days and its rather inexpensive extended warranty extends that to three years and provides Apple Care assistance from their call center associates during that time.

The odd thing is that this AARP sanctioned article is written by someone that had a connection to CONSUMER REPORTS.
