Am I Crazy??

The current April/May 2026 cover photo of Eva Longoria is so airbrushed that it might as well have been taken 25 years ago. Is this supposed to be encouraging to the rest of us "normal" people leading "normal" lives. Come on. Are celebrities so afraid to show their faces? It's actually disgusting and I'm sick of it. It just adds to ageism and sexism is not in the least encouraging. Why did I put this under brain health? Because it drives me nuts. That's why.

If a magazine cover is making you crazy, please don't go on You Tube. All the AI will drive you up a wall.

I'll reply not personally knowing this amazing woman but will write as an hospitality worker who shared many interactions with Ms Longorio over 25+ year, and then just a fan during her many experiences in Vegas after my retirement, she is naturally beautiful and truly blessed with youthful skin and hair. No way she has had any cosmetic surgery up to now; maybe later and that will be okay if SHE wants. But now, she's naturally beautiful, so get over whatever jealousy there is...

Are you asking for an answer to your question?
I think allowing the cover of a magazine to get you that worked up isnโ€™t a healthy way to go about your life.

I was hoping for a discussion on how AARP might want to show celebrities how they are instead of slathering them with makeup and airbrushing them when they're trying to celebrate aging. I wasn't looking for a critique of my mental health, but I do appreciate your concern. I'm sure it was meant in earnest. Thank you.

Just watched the first episode Eva Longoriaโ€™s new series on France on CNN.  Beautiful, vibrant, funny, smart woman.  She looks exactly how she looks on the cover of the AARP magazine.  I have no problem with the cover.  And if any person who ages wants to do makeup, surgery, Botox, exercise, or anything to make them feel good, who am I or anyone to judge.  The only message it sends to me on this cover is pure joy and happiness.

Edit to add something I just read in the AARP article,

Eva Longoria says, I donโ€™t want to waste my days.  We only have so many years left, How are we going to spend them?โ€

Exactly my pointโ€ฆ.too little time left to worry about if a magazine cover has been air brushed .  The joy and happiness  is what radiates, not if sheโ€™s made up, or the mag airbrushed cover.  Live your best life how you want!

Why in the world would AARP use her as an example for us? She made her millions in America and then left this country like so many other Hollywood hypocrites! Then your editors want us to swoon over her other countries.....Not me.

Itโ€™s such a glorious morning @GerardH918055 .  Donโ€™t read the article if you donโ€™t want to.  I appreciate and admire her work.  No one is making you read it.  Enjoy the day ahead.  Life is too short.
