I don't know about you, but I figure I've lost over 100,000 points because I haven't been able to answer any quizzes, do any health/money calculations, or watched any videos on the AARP Rewards site. I also haven't been able to put email bonus points in either. I don't mind when they shut down for 24-36 hours, but 15 days!? C'mon AARP, get your act together.

I can understand your concern, @ej64073754, You can still earn points by visiting our main site http://www.aarp.org?cmp=SNO-LITHIUM---&socialid=18196970635 and log in. Then, use the search icon (looking glass) and type "video" or "quiz" and choose the ones marked with the AARP Rewards badge. As long as you're logged into your AARP online account and meet the activity requirements for point earning, the points will be added to your account automatically. Once the site is back up you can review your Transaction History to view your point earnings. - Diana G.

AARP: This is absolutely crazy; I would think that an updated message would be in order for a โtemporaryโ technical issue on its 17th day. Iโve lost total confidence and it is a waste of time to go to the AARP site daily; some timeframe would have been nice. I would hope that you would send out an email when you finally up again.
It is not just earning points, it is access to gift card savings. AARP champions discounts to help seniors stretch their fixed incomes. I do understand things happen, but down for 17 days? What is your backup plan? Why not figure out a way to handle gift cards by phone to AARP while you are in a down situation. I did call and was told discounted gift cards by phone was not an option. Do something - not just parrot that the site is down and we are working on it.

[9/16/25] Hi AARP Diana @AARPConsumerCare , thanks for this info but this OLD lady is NOT finding the search icon (looking glass)? ๐ธ Screenshot of what I get when I CLICK on your link. Is it at top, middle or bottom? Anyone else found it? Thanks, Nicole. ๐

Thereโs been links posted on some discussion boards, as well as newsletter you can get to still earn on quizzes videos and games. Iโve copied some here. Also use search box (magnifying glass) and you could type keyword quizzes I believe.

[9/14/25] William @WilliamM384600 , changing your AARP Rewards Account password is wise. But it will NOT PREVENT your personal information that is on the DATABASE for whomever got hacked (Helloworld, Merkle, AARP). Canceling credit card used to purchase giftcards would be wise. Also keeping an eye on your OTHER financial stuff. Hacker probably has our info on the Dark Web by now - day 14. Take care, Nicole!
