Hartford does it again

Once again my Hartford auto premium has increased by over 15% in 6 months.  That is now a total of 75% since starting the policy in 2023, despite no claims, no new vehicles, and taking their defensive driving course.  I used to think of AARP as a very helpful organization for seniors.  But their lack of willingness to at least acknowledge, if not confront, this issue that impacts so many members is extremely disappointing at the very least.  My fellow members, please, its time to rise up en masse, and demand that AARP take a position - on the member's side.

What irks me the most is that Hartford's increase appears to be well above industry levels.  Based upon various research data including the PPI (Producer Price Index) from the Federal Reserve Bank, the average insurance industry increase Jan 23 - Feb 25 was about 36% or 37% for private auto insurance.  AARP, if you won't take on your buddy Hartford directly, then how about addressing how certain industries are driving inflation and suggest defensive positions for seniors.
