Awaiting resolution of AARP rewards
I have not been able to do anything in AARP rewards. All we get is a message that says
"We are currently experiencing technical difficulties in processing your request. Please retry in a few minutes. Thank you for your patience." for several weeks.
The resolution we are provided is that someone is "working on it".
Planned to buy guftcards for upcoming travel, which seems unlikely at this point.

AARP is a JOKE
earn too many points and they’ll block your account. Claim you were cheating or some b s like that to prevent you from earning or using all the points you’ve accumulated thru years of watching videos and taking their quizzes. Entire site is a joke

[Saturday 7/19/25]
Kevin @KevinHoffmanEst , were you affected by this? I was & I maybe wrong, but I "think" the NEW SOFTWARE they began using LAST year 2024 is "triggered" when we MAX OUT (5,000 daily points) EVERY DAY. Lol, I did "once" NOT realizing there was a DAILY LIMIT. Anyway, I complained on THIS SITE & CHAT. Took weeks to get back to being able to REDEEM. I was able to EARN, that so far has NEVER been affected. Moving FORWARD, I now keep "track" of my DAILY earning "activities" being CAREFUL to stay UNDER 5,000. From my working days (now age 67 & retired), I know depending on WHAT A CLIENT WANTS, software is "programmed" to be NOTIFIED by certain "actions" on client's website(s). Apparently AARP wanted to BLOCK THE BOTS & "real/law abiding" humans got accused of cheating. It would have been in AARP's best interest to ADMIT TO THIS ERROR & APOLOGIZE. Lol, but we already know that is NOT happening. And on Monday when they "clock" back in from being OFF for the weekend, this post will probably get deleted = NO ranting = NO criticizing them. Anyway, hope you were reinstated IF you were BLOCKED from your Rewards Account. Take care, Nicole!

I wasn't just blocked from earning... I was blocked from REDEEMING, BUYING GIFT CARDS, you name it.
Site is a complete JOKE. Ive done nothing different for FIVE YEARS in the rewards program. Earning points daily via videos and quizzes. Did the same exact thing every single day. Won a few gift cards here and there... purchase 5 gift cards a month.
Next thing I know Im being BANNED from it ALL
No matter who answers me back (when they do) its just some cut and paste nonsesne. Not ONE moderator has told me EXACTLY what I did that was fraudulent
NOT ONE PERSON FROM AARP

If you tag @AARPConsumerCare, it may help.
Also, your post might be more effective in the Rewards forum.
Have you called the Rewards Customer Service number? That is probably your best bet although you can use chat.

[Thursday 5/22/25]
Richard @RichardB815971 , I like the CHAT because you can request a COPY of it for your records. This way I have the AARP email with date & details of my REQUEST FOR HELP. With phone calls, NO record of what was said. 😉
@szostows , I hope AARP gets this "fixed" for you BEFORE travel. 🤞
Take care BOTH,
Nicole 👵
