How to use the BLOCK feature

I have a question about the block feature.  In applying it, it seems like the person you are blocking gets blocked from messaging you.  But if they post on this board, its not blocked.  Is that a limitation with the feature, or does it not work correctly, OR heaven forbid, in my worldly technical skills, did I do something wrong?

@kb1248 Good question. When you use the "Ignore" option, the system blocks all private messages from the specified user. Unfortunately, you can’t block public posts from users in our forums. All posts are public and viewable by all.
