I'd take my wife out of the city. We'd take the train from NYC and head north to one of the smaller towns were we could wander, enjoying stops for coffee and lunch.

I am retired an home constantly. We leave to go see doctors. I would get in the car and drive - anywhere. Perhaps 50 - 100 miles to a town nearby. Go into some small restaurant or cafe and eat a meal out; just like my wife and I did when we were young and life was less - stressful. Day trips were some of the most enjoyable of our lives. Just to get away from it all and just enjoy each other.

I would spend a day off with my four grandchildren shopping for summer cloths and gathering craft ideas for a fun filled summer. Last year we survived getting three out if foster care and my 3 year old youngest grandson beating neuroblastoma cancer in 97% of his little body. This is first summer in two years we are all together. God is Good.

I would visit my local yarn store, which has struggled significantly over the past year, buy some really luxurious yarns, grab a crochet hook and create beautiful art! 3 benefactors: the business owner, myself, and the end recipient of my project.

After a year of chopping off my own hair and doing my own nails, I'd love to have a "day of beauty", with a visit to my hairdresser and nail salon.  Would take my dog for a grooming, too.

A day off and $200!! I would thank God, first & foremost, then I would have a little me time and a little family time. I would complete a few scrapbook/photo projects. Then use the money to purchase groceries for a cookout. I'd invite my daughter, parents, aunts/uncles, a couple of cousins (not too many bc we still adhere to social distancing guidelines). We would go to a local State Park for some fun in the sun and some grub from the grill. Time outside, enjoying nature and each other's company... and money left over would be donated to the food pantry at my church: Towaliga County Line Baptist Church, Jackson, Georgia.

I would love a day off to leave my phone and computer at home and sit by the beach all by myself to escape from everything and everyone and refresh my spirit. Even imaging me doing this now helps.
