Found a old friend from work this yr. It has been almost 30 yrs.since I saw her we already went out to dinner with her discussed our children and parents which both of us didn't have any kids then and both of are parents were living back then but now both of are parents are now deceased. We both cried together cause we both were close to each other parents.I'm glad we found each other again.

One win was at a family reunion where I mingled with members that I didn't know. One hard thing is having friends. I just don't, but trying.

Being consistent with attending the gym without my gym partner.  One thing that has been very hard is cutting back on fried food but I am getting there.

Congrats on being proactive about your health, @DeborahJ347685 Consistency kind of dominoes into a habit, which then becomes routine after a while.  Nicely done!

I enjoy working in the garden too! I would like to have a larger space but for now I am working towards an indoor sprout garden. At my previous home I grew fruit trees, veggies and flowers.

Listening is the key to caregiving. I worked in my younger years as a CNA in extended care facilities and took care of my mother for 15 years after a stroke. Later in life, I studied under the Stephen Minister (SM) and provided Christian caregiving.  "By listening, reflecting, offering the ministry of presence, and giving a safe non-judgmental place to express difficult feelings, peace and comfort is provided to the care receiver in the midst of their life's storms." (SM)

Participated in the local 4th of July parade with the local Special Olympics organization. It was a lot of fun for all the athletes involved.

Spend July 4th alone in NYC, but small victory encouraged myself to go out twice for neighborhood walks.

I was lucky to be invited to a BBQ at my son's co worker.  It was nice to meet some new people.
