 This is my first summer being retired. I'm enjoying every minute with my husband. We're spending time with the grandchildren whenever we can with trips to the pool, museums, or baking cookies. We just came back from a larger family trip to Bentonville, AR. In addition, I'm staying connected with friends from work (and reconnecting with others who retired ahead of me), enjoying time in my craft room, reading, writing, and watching HGTV or Hallmark movies. Life is good!

I just celebrated my 70th with a group of 24 family and friends in Chicago. One of the weekend highlights was visiting the Obama Presidential Center. We had a blast!

on getting my lemon tree healthy again, before leaving to Hawaii for a week, come home to rest a couple of weeks and off to Europe for our Danube River cruise

I want to create a nice space in my backyard for relaxing and take a trip - possibly by train.In the fall, I plan to go to the Obama Library in Chicago.

I just went to Sint Maarten and spent five days at an all inclusive resort w/family and friends that was AMAZING!!!  It was over thirty of us celebrating multiple birthdays and it was a blast!

This summer my husband and myself are working on downsizing from a 3 BR colonial house to if we’re lucky into a nice trailer home closer to my Grandson, his Fiancé and our 21 month year old great grandson. Cleaning out 40+ years of our things, plus many years of my parents things that we inherited with my family home. It’s quite overwhelming to say the least. And finding a trailer park willing to allow our babies, I mean dog and 4 cats is proving to be much more difficult than we expected.

Holly, so excited for you and hubby's move and adventure! Hang in there; perhaps after downsizing you'll learn you can even own the trailer park and the babies won't be a problem! Keep us posted?

I want to go on one road trip this summer to explore a place I've never been to. I just have to talk my husband into getting the time off work to go enjoy himself too. I hope we get outside of our home state of Missouri this time.  I've seen everything here.  Maybe northern Arkansas.
