Issues connecting aarp with google fit

When I try to connect it says an error message that Google blocked it from accessing. But I try to find it in apps to connect and it's not on the list.

The problem is that Google Fit no longer shows AARP Now as a possible Third-party app to connect to. Since it is not in the list there's no way to make AARP Now & Google Fit connect to each other, thus the error everyone is getting. AARP needs to find out how this happened and get the AARP Now app added back to the accepted list of Google Fit apps to connect to.

Hi,

I don't think you understood my post. Please escalate to AARP IT that the AARP Now app (at least on Android) is no longer in the Third-party list of apps that Google Fit allows connection from. AARP has to fix this, not Google. Here's the allowed list of apps, the AARP Now app is Not on the list: https://play.google.com/store/apps/collection/promotion_3000e6f_googlefit_all

Yes, I've followed up, but it is still not working.  I uninstalled and reinstalled AARP Now app again last night because app kept crashing, but still not working.  It still says that Google us blocking app.

Hi, Janelle,

An AARP community contributor posted that Google Fit now syncs correctly with AARP Now.  I am now able to sync.  Is there a way to request points for those days that were not able to be synced?

We're you able to find a way to reconnect AARP with Google Fit?  I cannot find it in the list either.

I'm sorry you're having trouble connecting your Google Fit to AARP Rewards. You'll need to give permission from fitness tracker's app to share data with AARP Rewards. You can try reaching out to Google Fit's support services for help with providing permissions. - Christy C.

My AARP Now app and Google Fit were synced for a couple of years and then suddenly I stopped earning points for my fitness a couple of months ago. I have tried a few times since then to sync them in the AARP Now app, but it never works. I verified that AARP Now has permission to access Google Fit. I can send a screenshot for proof, if that helps. Can you please ask your app developers to check into this?
